Extended Warranty and "convertible tops"

Close to trying to buy an extended warranty. Looking at several like "Gold Key", "Alpha", and "Easy Care". They all say that convertible tops are not covered. The dealer says that the hard top convertible is not considered a "convertible" top. Also, most do seem to cover the ABS system but not the ABC system unless you can convince them it is a standard part of the suspension.

Can you guys give me your thoughts or experiences you have had with the parts and extended warranties?

Thanks much. Happy Motoring!

I have Fidelity (Platinum level) and have never been denied a warranty claim, including the convertible top's components.

Thanks Benz-O. Fidelity is who I am working with but they are just the broker. Who is the actual warranty through? They are the one's brokering both the Gold Key and Alpha warranties.

extended warranty

Chrysler extended warranty is rated very high. Do a search on this forum for more info. Mike Chase is who I bought mine from, 5 yrs, $200 deductable for $2300 and everything (except the obvious) including top pumps are covered. This was back in nov. 09 so it may be higher now......

Chrysler is no longer writing new contracts on our cars.

My warranty is with Fidelity Service Contracts. Maybe things have changed, but my contract, sitting in my desk drawer, states that they are the insurer, not another company.

Click on Vehicle Protection Plan. I have their Platinum level coverage. I see no mention of Gold Key or Alpha on their website.

**EDIT**

I did a search for "Gold Key Fidelity" and results returned for Fidelity Automotive Solutions. That is NOT what I have.

A+ BBB rating (Accredited) for my warranty company:

C+ BBB rating (Non-Accredited) for Fidelity Automotive Solutions

No Easy Care CSC was the best

Easy Care is not the company for these cars. Yes CSC is no longer writing. They covered a top motor no questions asked. Fidelity is the next best option . IMHO.
