Single Slat grill for R230 SL
 

There's a particular web site that sells single slat grills as well as a few other styles for the 03-06 R230 SL. I used to have it but I can't seem to find it.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm pretty sure it's somewhat of a well known site, I'm just not able to locate it at the moment. I think they sell them around $250. The site has a black background.

I have a single fin grill from 55tech. The grill have good quality and fits and looks nice, but it do not work so good with the distronic. It works on and off, and I often get a message saying "clean the sensor".

Anybody find a site for a 2007-2008 R230? I accidentally bought the one for the 2003-2006 and it absolutely doesn't fit.

Can anyone please post pics on a silver or light color SL..thanks...yes its easy to swap out , four bolts on top i think.

I have histrionic. I replaced star(straight swap out) with grill type and cut out the inside distronic works like a charm

I honestly think the 3 slat sport grill on the 2007-2008 SL's look best.

The single slat grill can look great from some angles but really awkward from other angels.

That said, I have the single slat grill on my car.

I also think painting the 4 slat grill black (but leaving the emblem chrome) looks sick.

I agree on the oddness of the 1 slat and the three slat is best, just doesnt fit on my 05. Mine is actually painted black chrome ( dark grey) and REALLY looks good and makes star stand out, just thinking of a change.

i got the single slat grille from 55tech also....it fit and it went on in one minute...huge improvement in the looks department.....love it....

55 Tech has several available, Black with chrome bar, Total Black and Full Chrome. Easiest mod you can make (four screws)!

Gene, it pains me how beautiful your car is! It's actually a big reason that I went with the single slat grill, and I'm also looking for CLK BS rims now..

The three-slats grille fits, if you replace the frontbumper too.

just bought the silver grill off ebay here.


They didn't make an option with black mesh so I painted it using Rustoleum Universal 2-in-1 spray paint (Primer + Paint)
