That's my point... The car is in Michigan. Believe me. NO offer will go undiscussed in Michigan with the economy the way it is. I predict that this car will sell soon for a good price!

Car sale prices aren't linked to the local economy. It can be transported anywhere, its not a house dude.

I sold my last G55K as an export. He bought it here BECAYSE I was in Michigan and because that allowed me to accept his offer! Selling a vehicle out of state incurrs costs of transport. If the buyer is smart he does the transport and saves that cash. My G55K went to St. Petersburg Russia directly to an armourer. The Russian paid for everything! SO it goes both ways.

I know one thing for sure... If I can sell (or trade) my 2005 SL65 I will be all over this 2007 SL65 first thing in the morning on Monday. I think this opne is sweet AND I gain both a glass roof and dystronic! I'll bet I get my price as well! (Hell.. If I don;t it simply will not be a deal!)

I went to see this car this morning. Great SL65! I know SL65s and I could not find a single thing to ***** about. They just got this car. I may need to slow my plan a bit for them to experience the market. I also need to retail my 2005 SL65 (158K miles). I want this car!

I agree! I looked closely at all the glass (because of the miles). All glass was perfect. We cycled the top. It was quick and not "jerky" so the system was "burped" in maintaining it. Clearly this has a realitively new front window glass. No little sand abrasion marks seen by me! It did have the $11 MB sticker in the corner and it was factory original glass that was used. I was surprised by how well this car was kept up. It was even nicer than mine! The car store guy told me that the original owner had a deatail guy do the car every day - and it shows! I have always wanted dystronic as well and this one has it!

I definitely want this 2007 SL65! I do have to sell my 2005 SL65 though. No more room in the garage!

Я не знаю Товарищ Seriously? Russia?

I did sell a G55 there but that was it! I'm still drooling over this SL65 for some reason. I love this 2007 but I have to move my 2005 to swing it. Mine is a little harder to sell with 158K miles. But it has absolutely been totally reliable at all times.

This SL65 is something I "want" not something I "need". That does not make it any easier though! Even the wheels were still nice on this thing. Interior was great. I really wish I had a space open in my garage. I have always loved this Designo paint for its depth as well.

I need a plan I guess ....

Who joins a forum and posts detailed sales pitch info about a car they are thinking of buying?

And 158k miles on an SL65? LOL

I do! Right here!

In reality. I was looking up Intermeccanica. I found the 2007 SL65 in what I considered to be the most unlikely of places. (It really is a sort of unusual place) I shared it!

I have been reading this forum for years periodically and I have become accustomed to the typical ney sayers, skeptics and crystal ball owners - like all forums. I also defend their right to make their positions heard. They can always just flip to the next topic as can the reader.

I became increasingly excited about this particular car as I got the idea that I might be able to get a really large price reduction (still working on that!).... Was thinking about export resale. And then.... I decided that *I* liked it for me!

I love the smoothness of the SL65 in producing seamless power. Very different from my Kompressors. And I noticed today that this SL65 also has illuminated sills which my current 2005 does not! I've always liked those on my G55s but never actually purchased them for the SL65.

Just got off the phone with Renntech... They have a pair of oversize turbos, some oversized intercoolers, a larger intercooler water pump (used that many times - works great), and some other air fittings for the 2007 SL65. They claim that it will easy bring the 1/4mile to 9.90 @ ~143MPH through the traps.

I think this idea has my name on it! Under 10 seconds with the AC on! Love it! Any one here ever try this stuff with the V12?

I am going to throw the BS flag. All that stuff is worth more than "your" 05 SL65

"Worth" is an interesting choice! "Costs" I agree with you...

I am considering buying the 2007 SL65 in this thread. I have a 2005 SL65 and all four spaces in the garage are full currently. I have considered making the 2005 SL65 a "corporate" project and using it as a "Renntech Parts" evaluation. I did this once before with a 2009 G55K. We had a lot of fun. (We used Hartmuts headers, under drive pulleys, oversized throttle body, large intercooler pump, modified the trans by sending it to Florida, high flow air box and then screwed around with the software for ever!)

Thumbs up 2007 SL65 still at dealer!

Misleading info (Although I'm certain that it was a mere error and certainly not intentional)

Rumors invite facts! So... I just called Southfield Michigan and spoke to Bob at 248.304.9091. The 2007 SL65 is still sitting in the show room right in front of him. He has had a ton of internet activity and calls. He has had two offers (One of them was mine!). Neither has been accepted so far.

You really got me with that one! I thought that I lost out and I really want to get this car. I just want to buy it resonably low. I'm still hoping to get lucky on this one. (Yes... I made an offer without selling my 2005 SL65... I would just move the car to the company and play with it adding the Renntech parts. It is worth more to me to just play around with then the amount that I can sell it for with 158K miles!)
