Where to buy the correct NEWER style Mirror Covers for SL55?
 

I already bought two sets of the newer-style mirror covers from ebay, one set from Taiwan seller and the other one from US seller.
But both of them shipped the wrong mirrors!
They won't fit. The openings/mount points are different.
And I already painted one set also :(

I think DCT sells them in CF.

ebay has them in carbon fiber also
 

i bought the newer style cf mirrors on ebay, being installed this week.....look good to me, i just hope they fit properly ....

If anybody has these new style mirrors on there SL class, can you post pics please?

Mine is 2004 SL55.
I already bought two sets from ebay and they both are wrong fitment.
One of the sellers said that I need the 05-08 model, not sure which one though.

Ronnie yours is an 04 correct? I'm pretty sure I have the answer for you although mine was an 05 when I dealth with the same prob...

my mechanic shop owner called me this evening and said the carbon fiber updated side mirrors i bought on ebay do not fit.....im very upset because i wanted this on my sl 55......this sucks....and when i originally emailed them on ebay i was told they would definitely fit....

This is the reason i have not tried to update the mirrors. Someone else ordered some in a different thread and said they wouldn't fit his car either.

Definitely let us know which ones you find that actually do fit properly. Good luck.

They also do custom stuff so you can contact them directly to get what you need. Hope this helps.

These don't tell you anything since you don't know what cars they have.
The ebay auctions I bought them from also says it will fit 100% for 2004 SL55, turned out NOT.

My mechanic is gonna try one more time today to put them on....if they can't do it by tomorrow, I'm just gonna tell them to hold on to them till a later time when we can figure something else out.......there has to be a way to get them on there some how......they are beautiful....raw carbon fiber updated LED side mirrors....they would greatly enhance the look of our cars too....what a total buzzkill.......

there is one that fits - just need to locate the correct one.

remember its made in taiwan so fitment is never perfect.

so i have a 04 sl55 and i purchased the 02-05 cf mirrors from gaugetuner on ebay. They DO NOT FIT, he told me to ship them back so I did yesterday at a cost of $60, he says I need the 06-08 cf mirrors so once he receives the incorrect ones i shipped back to him he will send the ones that are supposed to fit and I will let you all know if they work out. If the new ones dont work out I give up because I sent pics of my mirrors completely taken apart, so we shall see

i bought mine from gaugetuner also....he told me they would definitely fit my 2005 SL 55 .....but they dont.....so unless my mechanic shop can force them to work anyway tomorrow, then im giving up on them for now also.

which ones did you get? did you get the ones that said "02-04 earlier 05 carbon fiber mirrors"? because I got those also and just shipped them back yesterday. He is telling me I need the "06-08 later 05 mirrors" and I hope these will be correct or I will be :(

I bought one set from Gaugetuner also, which is the mirrors set that I already painted in my first post.
Here's the box, it says it's for 02-05 R230 which doesn't fit.
