Hello Guys,

I had a problem with my ABC, so the repair cost of a hose will cost about 500$, so I decided to convert my suspension system to coilovers and sell the struts that I have on ebay.

Now after talking to the workshop, they confirmed that the strutmaster conversion kit of the SL500 should fit the SL55. So now I'm going to do the conversion soon, after making sure how much would the shipping cost be to Lebanon.

But I am afraid that the light fix module only works for the SL500, and not the SL55 as well.



Any thoughts about this?

what are you going to do about the ABC pump? Are you going to put an idler pulley in its place

I have no idea what will he exactly do, all I know is that he converted an E55 to coilovers, and told me that he can do this as well with the SL55 as well, will let you know what he will exactly do.

SL 55 is different - its ABC, not airmatic.

What are you going to do about fitting the sway bars?

I am buying the SL500 kit, not the E55 kit, so the fitting should be the same as the SL500

I mentioned that the workshop has done a similar job converting the E55 to Bilstein coilovers

Yes, but they both use ABC.
Neither has sway bars.
Both have an ABC/PAS tandem pump.

The workshop didnt recommend strutmaster products at all, and he preferred if we order Arnott remanufactured struts, which have lifetime warranty
