**Possible investment value of a 2009 SL63 (R230) Silver Arrow Edition

Hello,

I'm currently looking at purchasing a 2009 SL63 (R230) Silver Arrow Edition with approx. 30k miles.

Any ideas as to metric that I should use in determining the potential investment value of such a car given that it is a very limited production vehicle (1 of 100 made) as compared to buying a non-Silver Arrow model, with the same color combination: iridium silver exterior with a berry red interior?

Thanks,

Amr Y. Eissa

Zero. I have one of under 200 E55 wagons. Love it. Won't sell it. Hasn't held any special value.

There is really no way to tell. Unless it's a pre-war Bugatti or, a car of historical significance It's all speculation. Just ask people still holding on to low mileage C4 Corvette ZR1's or, low mileage Fieros, Deloreans, E30 BMW M3's, etc. Yes, some have begun to appreciate (especially the M3) but he holding costs of a classic vehicle must be considered.

Zero....... Maybe if you keep it until 2156 it will be worth something.

The problem with these cars as investments is maintenance. Most schedules say x miles or y months change the fluids. That likely isnt happening on a lot of garage queens, and when they are driven failures tend to happen.

The cars are meant to be driven. The most beautiful exotic cars have rock chips in their front bumper to me. Not 0s on their odometer.
