I've read that wrapping will cause headers to fail over time and is not recommended by the manufacturers. I took my headers to a local shop and had them ceramic coated for $275.

You have to remove them.

I had them coated before getting them installed.
Money well spent as it keeps underhood temps down and the headers looking nice.

SL555 ///AMG
before wrapping them, get them cerakote or jet hot coat then wrap them & coat them with thermal tec or similiar product. cerakote or jet hot coat keeps the heat inside where it belongs.

I would not wrap them. Have them "white lighting" coated! at swaintech.

This ^^^^ I've had Swain's "White Lightning" coating on my Kleemann's for around 10 years now. They are a bit more $$ then some of the other coating companies but worth it.
