Key won't communicate with car
2004 55 SL AMG.
The car takes about 20 minutes to recognize the key fob. Lock/unlock and trunk do not work and the key will not turn in the ignition. If I keep trying over and over again (lock, unlock, manual unlock, open the trunk, try to turn the key, etc.) eventually the car will "wake up", recognize the key and start. However, most days I cannot spend 20 minutes trying to start the car!

Have you dropped the key ? I dropped the key and something got dislodged inside . I had an electrician
open the key and he fixed it . On mine the unlock function stopped .
