New owner SL55 and vario roof stucked
Hi, I just got the delivery of my SL55 AMG 2006 with low mileage yesterday. I put some charge on the trunk batterie to be able to open and close the roof. When I tried to close the roof again, I got a warning in the dash (lowered) but the trunk cannot completely close (2 inches open). Now, I am unable to open my trunk. The car is in storage for the winter here in Montreal, Canada and I want to be able to maintenance the batterie
One of the wing in the trunk is not completely flat against the trunk compare to the other. Less than one inch difference. I don't know if it's because the battery is too low to completely close...I read a lot of thread but unable to figured out what the best way to fix it.
What can I do to fully close the trunk and be able to open it to recharge my battery for the winter?

The lid "should" be able to be opened. Use your key. Then you can turn the Allen set screw that opens or closes the hydraulic pressure on the top system. Be careful not to have your body parts where it can be squished when you turn the screw. You can then manually push the roof into the latch area and close secure with the Allen wrench where the vids show in the headliner. Watch the vid it will show you some good stuff. Hope this helps.
