M156 Engine Surge Transmission Slippage

For starters. 2009 SL63. Top End has been completely rebuilt. Mercedes has replaced the wiring harness, the ECM, the TCM, rebuilt the transmission and installed a new wet clutch.

Here's what happening.

Start the car, idles fine, put the car in gear, ease onto throttle, car starts to move, then jolt, jitter, jump, get through the delicate accel from stop and car drives great. it feels like the clutch is slipping then goes into early lockup. it causes the car to jolt around when starting off slow or easing into parking spots.

Mercedes believes the computer is seeing too much torque and not allowing the wet clutch to adapt.
They thought it might be unmetered air, did a smoke test. All good and tight.

This issue has been this way for 11k miles, and now mercedes want to do:
-leakdown
-check injectors
-inspect cams and valvetrain

Basically another $2200 to test everything again that they did 11k miles ago. I don't have confidence that doing the same thing we did a year ago when they assured me it was the transmission needing to be rebuilt and a new engine wiring harness...is going to do anything.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of issue? I did a fair bit of searching but didnt find much on this other than the typical...tranny needs rebuilt.

FWIW - mine does the same thing until it gets warmed up - I think it has to do with the differences in MCT versus a true automatic. When I use manual mode, there is not any delay, and shifts are always crisp and firm.

That you don't have confidence in the dealer is understandable
only way to find out what is happening is to find a workshop with Xentry or buy one

Mine gets only incrementally better after being warmed up. Manual mode does nothing for me

I guess I'm naive. What will xentry do for me? Currently there are no faults
