Help with oil leak

I have an oil leak on my 2007 SL 65, coming from the front of the engine. Cant see where its coming from I figured I would change the valve cover gaskets and do the plugs at the same time.
I've had the parts here for a couple years. So I start taking things apart and I'm now down to having both valve covers off. It dosent seem like the VC gaskets were leaking. So I'm wondering if its the crank seal or the timing cover seal. Looking for advice on crank seal and timing cover seal replacement. I hope its just the crank seal. Going to work on the fan removal now.

Front crank seal is easy enough. Should be able to see oil getting thrown from the crank pulley. Is it a drip or is it collecting dirt?
If collecting dirt clean it all up really well with brakecleaner and enjoy.
Crank seal comes out once the crank pulley is pulled. Easy on a hoist. Give it a water pump, all idlers and a tensioner & belt while apart.

The cylinder heads sit on the tops of the timing cover. I don’t suggest entertaining pulling the timing cover and expecting all to seal up well without pulling heads.... which means the engine gets pulled.

Thanks. I have all the new pulleys and stuff to do the front of engine. Except crank pulley and water pump. I may as well get a new pump too. I’ve got the fan out but still can’t see where it is leaking. It’s leaking pretty good and needs to be fixed. I’ll keep digging.
I will also have to find crank pulley tool to hold the crank pulley. While taking the bolt off unless there is a way to do it without the tool
