Super low mile SLK230 - available - any advice?

I'm looking at a super low mile SLK230 (20K miles) that is an original owner car with maintenance receipts that show impeccable care. Anything to be aware of with these cars? Are they reliable? Thought maybe I'd buy it just to kick around for the summer or longer but don't want a headache. I'm especially concerned about premature SC failure that could make my good deal go bad real quick.

I've had a 2009 C63 sedan and a 2014 C63 507 so I know the brand, but I know nothing of this little roadster version other than it's really old.

Really old? Then you must not be looking at an SLK-- the first year was '98, so they're not exactly SSKs.

You didn't specify the year and there are a number of differences between the first and second generation (known as Facelift cars). So no use in getting into specifics that only pertain to a particular generation.

They're quite reliable cars, but like any newer MB they do have their issues. The only one I can think of that applies to all the cars is the top hydraulics, which *will* fail sooner or later due to the type of seals originally used. There is a company that rebuilds them with better quality seals for reasonable money, but R&R does require a certain amount of skill.
