99 slk cranks for a second will not start
my slk230 the starter only cranks the motor for 1 second then stops not enough time to start engine I'm thinking it could be the key but
not sure`is there a light on the dash that blinks showing a good key like the ML's have,?

It's you battery, it's below the required cranking voltage needed.
Charge it up and then check the cranking voltage and/or replace the battery with the correct new one.
