Supercharger pulley and clutch
Hello all
i have owned my slk for 2 years and driven it 100k miles (it has 261000 miles on it) have only had minor problems with it till now. The supercharger clutch is dead now. The armature and pulley face is worn out and the electromagnet is just not pulling strong enough to engage the clutch. I have been looking everywhere for a new replacement with no luck. It seams that MB has discontinued it and no place still has one. Does anyone know how I can get a replacement? Or where I can buy a replacement or an upgrade? I live in California USA and need to get the thing working again and get the check engine light out so I can pass smog test. Someone said to get a solid pulley, If there is a solid pulley how would I get the computer to not see that as a fault? Thanks anyone for help.

I found a low mileage used supercharger for $318 free shipping with 6 month warranty so I bought it. Guess that’s the only way I will get her fixed. Just need to buy a couple gaskets now I think.
