New member - 1st question
Hello there and thanks for a very informative site. I`m a U.K 97 SLK owner and have done a few mods already with more to follow.
Im now in the process of thinking about upgrading my stereo. I have already installed an MP3 player and now want some more kick.
I want to keep my system stealth so no subs in the boot etc. Am I correct in thinking the stock speaker size behind the seats are 6.5"
If this is the case then is it a simple swap for different speakers or will I have to get busy with a Dremmel?
Is the speaker enclosure sealed or does it go into the boot.
Lastly what is the size of the front door speakers as I intend to uprate the components. Is it possible to fit bigger ones also?

I remember hearing about somebody putting nice 7.5" speakers behind the rear seats that added a nice kick. I don't remember who it was though, might have been on benzworld. Their R170 forums tends to have more action than here.
