The modification has proven extremely popular. Stay tuned for the next mod.
Here is an image better showing the setup. From left to right. Fuse box, Phone compensator, voice control (under), UHI (euro) module.
orange is MOST fibre optic strands. Notice that the microphone wiring goes into the VCS module. This cable was removed from the UHI module and is long enough to easily reach the VCS in a good configuration.
The rules of installation are that the VCS must appear in the ring before UHI and that it must take the voice connection to the phone microphone.
Using the wiring harness for VCS bought from MBENZNL the green plug will push into the fuse box and run off the same fuse as the phone system. I made everything short and to length. That may require special crimp tools and so on.
