SLK/R171: SLK350 Power Window Question

SLK350 Power Window Question
When my power window is down and I press the up switch the window rolls all the way up and rolls back down 3/4 of the way. After 1 or 2 more attempts it stays up. Is this a normal thing or is this a defect? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

It might just need to be reset. Put it all the way down and hold it there for like 2 seconds, and do the same again but all the way up. Should work fine after that. If not.... Defects.

Same thing happens to me, it can be fixed, take it in for the inspection service (between 1,000 and 3,000 miles) and make a laundry list of problems you have and they will check up on it).

the window either has something in the upper part of the track and it's dropping back down as part of the safety feature - or it's the top not lining up properly and causing the same reaction.

Polo, was right! All you have to do is hold down the button for 3-4 seconds on the way down and then again when rolling up. This should fix the problem. I believe it resets the window function.
