Newbie HELP!! with driver mirror
My driver mirror got crushed, evidently by someone getting out of their car. I have a 2003 MB SLK 230 ( color of car is black). The drivers side mirror was damaged and the mirror housing is cracked and the mirror will not stay in the mirror housing. I have found a used mirror online from wrecking yard and was wondering how hard it is to replace the mirror. I know there is some wiring but I wonder if it is just a plug and a few screws or is there going to be some soldering and removing of the inside door panel to access the mirror. I looked at it, and there is a small removable plastic plate( that removes very easily) and two screws. I assume that is what holds the Mirror in place but I didn't want to start tearing it down and make things worse without some information. Thanks.
