Light at the end of the tunnel
The paperwork is all complete and the check is in hand. Barring any drastically unforeseen circumstance, we should have the new 2006 Obsidian Black SLK55 IN HAND by lunchtime Saturday ....

When did you order your car? Mine has been complete for a month now and can't seem to find it's way to a ship. SInce my car has been built, 4 ships have left for Halifax and my car is MIA from all of them???

Not 'our' order
When we started looking at SLK55's, our dealer told us that a 'nearby' dealer (100 miles) was getting one in Obsidian Black with the Charcoal/Ash interior. We thought that this was the color we wanted to order but we wanted to see a REAL one before we ordered. We called the 'nearby' dealer and asked when it was coming in and could be come see it before they delivered it.
By the time we made it to the dealership, the person that ordered it decided they didn't want it. They got a refund of their deposit and we got ALMOST the exact car we wanted (it doesn't have the BiXenon's) without having to wait for a build date, or a shipping date, or all the other things go along with ordering an SLK55.
We test drove the car on Friday, 28 October,and we'll pick it up on Saturday, 12 November. Not tooooo bad of a wait :v

Unlike yourself, not having the xenon headlights would be a "deal killer" for me.
I am/was flexible on most options, but not that one. They are costly, but they also provide a brilliant light pattern that I want in a high performance car like the SLK55.
