Potential problems with 235/35/19 tires
I thought I should bring this to your attention. I do believe slk55er brought this up on a previous post, but there wasn't much discussion regarding it, so I figured I should post some more information with pictures.
I own a slk55 and purchased a set of 19" wheels wrapped in 235/35 PS2's. The offsets have been perfect and resulted in no rubbing. However, a friend notice a small mark on the front of my tires. *PIC1* Although it is a very small cut, my front tires have several of these marks along the outside. Initially, I thought my tire was rubbing against the fender. I then turned the wheel left and right and identified a small piece of metal that looked as though the tire contacted. *PICS2 & 3* This metal protrusion connects the lower spoiler to the fender. It is located just inside the wheel well. Not sure why it sticks out so much or why it has a sharp point to it. I have since filed it down. In the pictures, the edge appears white. It is white only because I used liguid White-Out to mark the edge. I then drove aggressively again to see if it rubbed. It no longer rubs now.
So, if you have 235/35/19 on front, I'd suggest you look for similiar markings on your tires.

I only had the problem with the protruding prong on the passenger (right) side. I bent it inward to eliminate the problem.

This is the reason why some of the german colleagues only use the followind tyre dimension in combination with the rims Front: 225/35 ZR19 Back 255/30 ZR 19. The original AMG Manufaktur combination is front 235/35 ZR19 back: 265/30 ZR19 but you need to change the front suspension and widen the rear whellbase out.
Best regards,
