New 7 speed software?
Any guesses on if tuners will be able to apply the updates to the software for the 09 SLK55 to current models? Rev matching and throttle blipping would be a nice addition. Sounds like it's just software, hopefully.

Jesse will be the first one to have our latest tranny software. I'm just waiting for the arrival of Oliver so we can proceed with Jesse's SLK55.

I doubt it. I thought you had a 5 speed in the BS. I'm not even sure it will work on my SLK either. There may be more than just software.

hmm
Black series TCU is what I'm getting ... I don't know if the new software from the C63 can just be swapped in. My guess is that there might be more than just softwrae involved.

Btw the Black Series use the 7speed with no comfort setting. Just Sport SportII and manual. Sport 2 is supposed to shift even faster than the basic AMG setup.

The 5speeds were in the Asia SLK race cars.

Actually, there is Comfort, Sport and Manual in my BS. In M mode, it does not shift any quicker. I have got in contact with Vaeth in Germany, they have a software upgrade from the TCU and ECU, which enhance the shift speed and horsepower. However, I will be more interested if Evotech has the blip function for downshifting and speed up the shift at the same time.

I thought the black series were supposed to have a second sport setting.

I'll update the board with progess.

Btw in my opinion Manual is slower than Sport.

You have a quicker shifts compare to the non BS SLK 55.

i am considering tranny sw upgrade. supposedly the black series shifts in m mode are "instantaneous".
slk blk is that true??

in my slk55 030 they are clearly not...

No the BS is not instantaneous either, you will have to look for a ECU remap to help!
