How is the OP's "sale of a contract" any different from a dealer posting on eBay Autos that he has a brand new SLS for sale, by special order, to the highest bidder? Seems the same to me, and I see that type of stuff all the time on eBay. Selling a brand new car or one you can order to your specs doesn't seem so awful to me.

supply and demand, however teh company has a vested interest in seeing that their cars arent used as a commodity, speculation hurts them by keeping cars out of enthusiasts hands, by irritating loyal long term customers and creating a false demand, I was told that MBZ has a "brokers list" and that dealers caught selling to them get punished
