SLS Roadster

Apparently some dealers are already receiving allocations.
Got a call this morning, was offered a September production car,no price or available options are available yet.
I would rather have the roadster vs coupe because I'm not to fond of the gullwing doors but before commiting with the order I would like to see how much I can recline the back seat with my legs having enough space.
In the Coupe I am forced to sit completely upright in order to fit my legs, very uncomfortable position for anything more then couple minutes.

Roadster headroom ?

It will be interesting to see how the headroom works for 6 ' plus people with the new low profile soft top of the 2012............I also was cramped in a SLS gull wing, but good in a R230 SL hardtop convertible...

This is much more appealing than the Gullwing IMO.

As a proud owner of the Gullwing, I have to say that the convertible seems like a bull without his *****. I dont drink Chablis, wear iZod tees, play golf or vote for Republicans. Just my personal opinion.

I prefer the gullwing. the top down on that thing will just look weird. My neighbor owns a gullwing and an original 300Sl gullwing. The 300 SL is more classic and i prefer it but the SLS is still pretty the seats recline fine and the way that it opens is great

Before you jump up and down about my thoughts on the SLS , I can't see
the point of this car. It can't be an SLS roadster because it doesn't have
gullwings, it should be called the Non Gullwing SLS roadster
No seriously a cloth top is a step backward IMO , there is no need to call it
SLS at all. It should be a replacement for the SL65, so maybe a name like
SL6500 or can someone think of a better name.
