The similarities between a father and son are easiest to spot with your eyes, but in some cases, they can be discerned with your ears. I know for a fact that I can do a damn good impression of my dad if the mood strikes me.

Even while they're standing still, it's obvious that the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and 300SL, with their long hoods, short decks and gullwing doors, share some attractive genes. The video below makes it clear that they also have similar voices.

At low speeds, both Benzes let out a rich, deep roar. When under heavy throttle, you can hear a key -- but still satisfying -- difference. Whereas the newer car shouts in the higher registers, the older one makes a thick, dulcet mid-range sound.
