Anyone ever see this place?

Looks ok based on the pictures. Curious if anyone has actually been there.

I've never been to that particular resort, but I have been to that area. We stayed at a resort at St. Pete Beach in 2007, which is a mile or so south of there. It was a nice get away for the family. The beach was very nice. If you're interested, I can look up the resort where we stayed if you'd like to check that one out.

It was good for a family vacation.

I looked into the Tradewinds Beachcomber property. They have a good package deal for the nights I need, but they only seem to put two beds in one room in their suites.

We ended up with two Queens which worked out well for us. But I am pretty sure that they offered rooms with Kings. We had a suite with one bedroom, and a front sitting area with a little kitchenette. I wouldn't call it 5 star or even luxury, but it served our purpose. The resort had a couple of restaurants, sports bar, outdoor bar, ice cream place, etc. so it was nice that we did not have to go out somewhere all the time. For the kids, they also had a "kids club" which was great for dropping off the kids for a few hours of adult time.

I don't really want to share a bedroom with the kids, if you know what I mean. :D Mrs Brenton has some work to do.

That link above is about the same price, but is a true 2 bedroom suite.

One of the nicest beaches that i've been to on the gulf coast, before Captiva got wrecked by the hurricane, is Longboat key. Very pretty beach. I haven't stayed at this resort but i've heard good things about it.

This is a beautiful beach! I have been there. Its very nice. Its not for you. lol.

This will be a about 2 1/2 hour drive to Orlando min. Treasure island is a nice beach. Nice area. Very touristy. You can walk to a lot of restaurants and "off beach" shopping. Its not too far from Orlando. hour and a half - 2hr drive. You should be able to do it in 1:45.

If you dont mind the extra drive, I recommend longboat key.

Nothing in particular, just that it is well kept. I have a few pics from their website, but that could be anything. We're talking about a true 2-bedroom suite on the beach for around $200 per night including taxes. It is much cheaper than other properties with 2-bedrooms, so I just want to make sure it isn't a dump with doctored photos.

I appreciate the help.

I went to clearwater beach this weekend. The hotels I was thinking of setting you up with took down the main attraction. They used to supply lounge chairs so you could lay in a semi covered soft chair and enjoy sunsets over the ocean. Needless to say, they are blowing it. They might go up after spring break is over.

They replaces then with ****ty over hang things where you can lay a towel or bring a chair to. Terrible. They may have some in indian rocks beach still. I didn't get a chance to head over to treasure island. I am trying to be in the car as little as possible after I was in the accident Friday the 13th. Back still causing me pain if I sit too long.

Ill try to get there is the next few weeks. I have been down there. Most of the hotels are very nice. It is very touristy. They try to renovate frequently. I could probably call and use my Travel Agency to get them to let me know when they last remodeled and how accurate their site photo's are before I make a trip to view their property for (insert large meeting for some group here).
