19" wheels on E55
HELLO ALL.
do you think going to 19" AMG monoblock 2s with H&R springs would make the ride too tough for NYC driving? also, would the wheels have so little rubber that the chances of bending these wheels would be great?
also, what is a really good quality fully forged ONE piece wheel that is good for the E55? i like the Dronnel's but i called and they said they went out of business.

If the roads there a really bad forget getting 19"s. Typical setup would be 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rear which would mean very little rubber protecting the lip of the rim so when you hit a pothole not very good!
If you're looking for light forged one's and looking for a mesh type you may want to look into BBS LM's.

I find myself driving very cautiously in DC! Trying to avoid potholes, etc. The roads are usually/always terrible. I dream of 19 inch wheels however, with the condition of the roads I can not do it. I bent a 17 inch wheel on a pothole and it was beyond repair.

I had the Mono 2's in the 19 inch format on my E55 and loved them but then I was in Cali. The wheels are dirt cheap and are quite hard to bend- as long as you have the air pressure up in the tires I think you should be OK but then I dont know exactly where in NY you are at.
