Looking for e55 under MSRP.. Would rather have e55 than M5

I've got a CLK430 but I want to upgrade to an e55. All of the dealers in So Cal want way too much for the car, ie. MSRP + 5 or 10k..

Also, the lease rates they are quoting are pretty rediculous too.. a money factor of .00325 and <60% residual for 36 months @ 12k mi.

The reason I bring up the M5 (blasphemy I know) is that the lease rates are .00250 (money factor) and 66% residual for 36 months @ 12k mi.

Also, the M5's (new) are available for 2000-3000 under MSRP.

Anyone want to give me a hand ;)

You might want to try Laguna Niguel. As of this past Saturday they had 5 in stock & available. They can't be wanting more than sticker with that many sitting on the lot.

You can steal a pre-owned 2001 for around 60-65k with low miles- maybe less than 5k. Last week in the L.A. Times there was a used 2002 E55 listed at 65K. If you have to have a new one then I am sure Penske Motorcars in West Covina or Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach should have a new one on the ground (not presold). I know they both will sell these units for sticker.

The E55 is not commanding the top dollar it used to, what dealers quoted you these prices and was it over the phone or in person??

Under MSRP is easy in Texas.

I just paid about $4500 under MSRP for an '02 with COMAND and AVS here in Houston. Several other dealerships (Austin, Beaumont) made similar offers. Buy your car in Texas and break it in on the drive home!

But with the E55 you get exclusivity

They only make a few of the E55's where as there are lots of M5's. You may pay more for the MB but, you get what you pay for... in the long run and the short. Nothing against the Beamer, I just think the E is a greater value and therefore you may pay more for it. You should be able to hunt down an E for at least 2G's under MSRP. I can direct you to a place here on the east coast that I have had good luck in dealing with but, that could be a long drive. A fun drive, but a long one.

Vic55,

Fletcher wanted over msrp and so did MB of Laguna Niguel.. Something I'm not willing to do.. Will look around.

Email me if you have any leads.

Scmguru, did you get these prices over the phone or in person? They claim they wont sell the cars for over sticker (Fletcher) but then they usually pack the price 10k with some stupid chroming charge

Try Penske Motorcars, they may have a new one there (626) 859-1200. You could also try House of Imports or Downtown LA Motors but if you call you won't hear the price you are looking to get. MSRP is not an unreasonable amount for a new E55 in today's economy. You may have to go out of state- which is not a bad thing but its always nice to have your originating dealer close to home.

not really sure where you are but try House Of Imports in Buena Park. Will sell at MSRP only and no mark up! With the kind of economy we're in pretty sure they will make you an offer you can't refuse! http://www.bmwm5.com/vbulletin/image...ies/yltype.gif http://www.bmwm5.com/vbulletin/image...ies/yltype.gif
