!!! LETMotorsports W210 E55 Headers !!!
I have had a couple of requests for us to make a set of headers for this car, what i need to know is how many people would be interested in a set of headers for this car?
Preliminary pricing would be $1000 a set for mild steel ceramic coated headers if we can get 5 people to commit to the project up front...$250 deposit required...
let me know, thanks!

I'm in. What are the expected dyno gains?
Also, i believe that the E430's share the same exhaust manifold configuration so you should consider posting this in that section if you need to generate more interest.
thanks

does the 430 use the same exact exhaust manifold? i did not think that it did, but i could be wrong, as i am not very familiar with that motor...

Remember the steering pump is also in the way on the driver side so I guess these are also gonna be similar to the shorties kleemann builds?

Looking at their C32 headers thread
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...headers&page=3
I would guess the W210 headers will be similar in design and not be equal length. Of course I really don't know what LET has planned. Maybe they will surprise us with their W210 design.
BTW why are you so anxious to upgrade from your Kleemann setup? Are you not happy with the results?

Ahh, that is that I thought they might look like. I was just wondering for the sake of the other members.
I like the Kleemann set-up; if it's similar to the pictured set-up, it'll be close enough to the Kleemann headers... However, I would be interested if someone could make a set of long tube equal length headers fit in the W210 engine bay ala VRP: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/217332-vrp-headers.html That'd be worth some torque over the Kleemann set-up... but with the steering shaft on the driver's side... it's probably too tight a fit. oh well, nothing wrong with Kleemann set-up!

I've drooled over those posts of the VRP W211 long tubes many times but I doubt there's much market for us W210'ers.

I agree with you on K downpipes; they are big! Stockies are pretty small.
Yeah, there are not as many W210 E55's produced and not as much readily available hp potential as W211.... you can always go crazy with the custom work maybe some heads and cams???

I think the main advantage of Kleemann over other shorties is the larger collector diameter and the larger downpipes. AMS just released a pic of his headers and they also appear to use stock size collectors. On the other hand the prices LET and AMS are talking about are pretty damn sweet!!
