Fog lights on 2001 E55
Has anyone changed or should I say, does anyone know how to change the fog light bulbs on a 2001 E55???
I wanted to change the current bulbs to HID bulbs but don't know how to. I tried to tinker wtih it but can't seem to figure it out. Also, what bulbs do I need (part #?). Can I change the bulb only or do I have to change the entire fog light??
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

You can not take out a halogen bulb and replace it with a "real" Xenon HID bulb. Unless you are referring to using "fake" blue Xenon look-a-like halogen bulbs. An HID bulb and a halogen bulb are not interchangeable.
Your foglight bulb is probably a halogen H1 bulb. In order to make your fog lights HID you would need to convert or retrofit it with an H1 HID conversion kit. Changing the fog light to HID is probably not recommend because the foglight wiring, housing, optics and lenses are not good enough to handle the conversion and improve the lighting.
