No, They will use kink bends which will reduce performance and defeat the whole purpose. You much get mandrel bent 45 degree pipe . If they do it properly, the bends & x-pipe should be more than enough, you should not need any additional piping at all. I do agree with K2, doing high flow 2nd cats at the same time is HIGHLY recommended, you will save on labor.

The mandrel bends should be 2.25" ID not 2.5", 2.5 is a bit too much for the piping. hope that helps.

I didn't see any of those. Again, might you have a link and tell me if I need 2 or 4 of them?

I could have sworn there is a place that does mandrel bends in Bloomington/Normal. Try asking on cicenet.

Just two of them. You can do 2.5" if you really want they just have to narrow it down alittle or fill up the gap with a pretty thick weld. A 2.5" OD would be better than 2.5" ID. You want aluminized steel so it won't rust. Something like these:

Sorry for all the questions....but I did find the posts from you and LeeRod and went ahead and ordered the high flow cats you suggested in those posts. Anyway, if the cats are 2.5" and the x-pipe is 2.5", why are the mandrel bends 2.25"? Again, not questioning, but just trying to make sure I get all of the right stuff the first time.

Technically the stock piping is roughly 2.25" inner diameter (roughly 2.35" outer diameter), so you can use 2.5" no problem but for the piping the proper size is 2.25. If you use everything 2.5 that's fine, they will just have to run a thicker weld to compensate. Hope that helps.

Well, while I'm waiting on the high flow cats, x-pipe and 45 degree bends to get shipped here, I dropped by the dealer today. Ordered the chrome key (not the $64 I paid for it way back when, but a respectable $160) and all weather mats. Too much nasty weather and snow not to have those around here. Things are starting to come together nicely.
