Hello all E55 owners!

My 02 E55 has been consuming about a half quart per 1000 miles. I'm beginning to get concerned about the piston rings... especially at this high mileage. Any thoughts or inputs from fellow AMG owners would be great.

I recently did the valve cover gaskets, all breather hoses and the MAF sensor. Oil changes have been done every 3k miles..

any engine oil additives that you can recommend would be appreciated. Lucas oil?

There maybe an internal leak have it looked at before it’s too late.

Pull plugs and bore scope the pistons to see if they are oily. My 02, with 195k burns no oil.
