Almost 107k on my 2001 E55
I bought it with 16,192 miles and loved every mile I've put on it. No major problems - new camshafts and rack-n-pinion under warranty. Other than that a new MAF at around 90K and one window regulator on the rear passenger window. Love the car much more since I removed the secondary cats and put an x-pipe on it. Also LED brake lights really helped update the look. Of course mine is now suffering from the fatal dashboard light cut-out. My local indie says I can get it fixed for $650 installed from a refurb company in MA. It definitely beats the $1600 the dealership wants just for the part.

Mine just tipped 130K. Bought it at 125K from the original owner (essentially). Aside from a few minor things, its near perfect.
P.S. I have a secret 2002 somewhere in North America that I may try to buy again this summer. I could not get to it last summer and then the 2nd owner decided to hold on to it until 2011. Its a 2002 with only 51K. Looks brand new. Has the Parktronic option as well. I'll never tell where it is though. Owner only adverts locally- if at all. he he.

New here...need your help deciding.
Looking into acquiring a C43 or E55. Checked several cars, some rust C43 buckets in the NE, and some nice 05/06 E55, but got scared with all the potential issues (analysis paralisis..) on E55s. Today found this 2000 E55 with 106k miles, looking nice from the pics.
So, have a few questions if you guys don't mind helping this newby here....
What's the meaning of w210, w211 and 2212?
Is the body of this 2000 E55 exactly the same as later models E55? It looks smaller.
Is there a VIN decoder web page somewhere to check the basic info on this car?
Do you guys know of a MB/AMG mechanic around Dallas to go do a PPI on this car? What would be a decent offer on this car, should the PPI not reveal any major issue? Thanks a bunch ...

2000-02 w210 identical. Wouldn't worry about an 05 and up w211 quality-wise. It's the 03 and 04 to be wary of. Don't know much about the 212. Drive both the 210 and 211 and preferred the 210. Plus I think it looks more classy. 211 has monstrous HP but the 210 is really fast as well and is better built. Either one a good choice.

Only 212k miles here and still pulls like a train.
I can achieve around 31 MPG (imperial), 26 MPG (US) cruising at 75-80 ish with a couple of more spirited moments, so I think the engine is in good order!
I read on the back of my Mobil 1 0w40 jug 'Keeps engines new for longer'. Sounds like this may have some truth.

132,000 and running smooth.
I got screwed by a few Los Angeles shyters, I replaced the front brake pads and rotors, paid for the MB OEM AMG parts and now my front wheels are all corroded from whatever crap they put in my car. I went to Globe Motorsports on La Cienaga. I went there on a referral and I thought they new AMG but apparently they are not as honest as I hoped.

I think it's just a matter of time before the clear coat comes away from the polished lip of the wheels... maybe they just helped it on it's way.
