Well... Since you asked for any input... It's spelled pedal not peddle.

And yes, it does sound like a mount.

If it's a mount, very minor. The tranny mount is very easy to do and cheap. The engine mounts are more expensive, but not that bad. I recommend buying from Autohausaz.com or parts.com and taking it to an independent mechanic because they are very easy to change with a lift but a bit of a pain (and somewhat dangerous) with just a jack.

You got a bad motor mount. Stealer charge about $550 to replace both side.

Your 2¢ noted.

Personally, I don't see any "hostility" here. Just a guy whom I can "beat" with both hands and half my brain tied behind my back. Unfortunately, that in itself is noting to boast about... but it is what it is.

I don't have any highly acclaimed degrees... or any degrees in general, for that matter.

I asked my friend Google WTF "goodlooks" meant and he didn't know. As such, I'll have to take your word for it until proven otherwise. Thanks...?

As far as the hostility you sense in here? Eh. It's the internet. Just about everyone is a multi trillionaire, is dating supermodels and is a bad ****, on the Internet. I'm just a simple guy who speaks his mind, trillionaires be damned. Hardly my concern that some jackass gets butthurt and wants to "break ur face"... ya know?

Most likely the engine mount. You hear the clunk when the engine is turning and there is resistance - in gear. The things stopping the engine from doing loop to loops in your engine bay are the engine mounts. I'd bet one or both are bad. Easy enough repair to do yourself.

Motor Mounts for an 08' SL 550

Just got back from the dealer where I had an oil change. The dealer says my motor mounts are leaking and need replacing....What the hell? I only have 25K miles on this car....is that normal? And he says they are leaking....Does Mercedes use liquid motor mounts? He recommends both motor mounts and transmission mount as long as Im at it....$1300 estimate. Can I do this alot cheaper myself?

The mounts are filled with Hydro fluid. when they leak you will usually see a type of orange/rust color on your suspension/steering components. not normal for a car with only 25k to have this problem, i would try doing a little yelling at the service manager and see about maybe getting them goodwilled. They will probably help take care of you if you are a loyal customer that gets most of your service work done there. I wouldnt recommend doing them at home with just a jack and stands as you will have to jack the engine up to get them out.

Wrong section. This is only for W210 E55s.
