From everything I've read, the 1999-2002 produced 349 HP SAE and 354 European standard. Maybe that's where you got the 355 HP?

Interesting, MBUSA lists the 2002 E55 as having 349 hp on their website. I wonder if their was a misprint in the owners manual? http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/cpo/mo...del-E55#engine
