Adaptive Trans/Tuning
Is there a way to lock in the settings even if using an aftermarket tuner? From what I've read the adaptive values are always playing into how your car is running. It drives me crazy because we always have to do the soft reset, instead of just having a sport/eco mode button. And even after the reset it's not as fast, I have to drive like a maniac for about 2-3 cycles. Then the car gets to this sweet spot where everything is perfect, but it never stays long. One slow traffic day throws all that out!
This is more of a vent than a ? but I was curious if anyone found a solution, because it seems your car will never perform at 100% for long. And it seems to be a headache for tuning and people doing dyno runs.

I'd be interested in knowing as well. Confidentily U-turned into traffic the other day and the car frankly fell on its face. Scared the crap out of me. The only thing more unpredictable than Houston weather and my Girlfriend has to be the 722.636.

yeah, it has to be that one thing that I love to hate about the 210 E55. It's an awesome beast, aside from that one quirk. Wouldn't trade it for the world though. It's gotten to the point that I'm thinking about doing the soft reset every night before I turn in for bed.

This board in all its wealth of information is indispensable, but as mentioned it seems many of the enthusiasts that made the 210 forum progressive have moved on to other MB products. It's far beyond my technical ability to dive into why the transmission does what it does, but I'm happy to ask around. Going to visit Mpower here in Houston and see if they have any insight. This is the only "issue" that pisses me off about an otherwise exceptional car. As what I can safely assume is a highly educated level of proud 55 owners here, we should be able to figure something out. Even if it's that we are SOL.

This car can cause the OCD to pull their hair out. Just when you get the car running optimally, there is this issue or others maybe to make you say what happened from just yesterday?
Here in Houston, I wonder how much humidity affects the system adaptation. I notice that after a couple of days of rain, my car becomes lazier.
Let us know what those guys at MPower comes up with.

I remember reading that post ^. Very informative, but I don't see a fix in that post that I feel comfortable doing to my car. I guess the question for me is whether or not it's a an issue of mileage? Like maybe low mile cars don't do it.
