w211 e55 big brakes on w210 e55
been thinking about trying a big brake setup
wondering if w211 e55 big brakes on w210 e55 will work
the later model has an 8 pot big brake caliper up front.
this means in May not fit in the wheel
and I'm also wondering if the rotor offset would be the same.
ant thoughts?

Welcome!
If you run a search there are a few discussions about this topic. To help you out, there are 2 methods common to upgrade brakes. The first is to update the calipers to the C32 or compatible calipers (several models use the same part number) and C32 rotors. This method has been debated as to whether this will add performance but it does cosmetically enhance the appearance if you have aftermarket wheels that you can see through unlike the OEM monoblock. Youll need a spacer with the OEM if you go this route.
The second would be to get the 6 pot calipers front and 4 pot back from the SLK AMG performance package. The caveat here is the price and locating a set. The rotor are about $500 ea not to mention the acquisition cost of the calipers.
The SLK's are a direct bolt on with no modification. I have not seen anyone achieve the W211 on the W210, otherwise we all would do it!
There is always Stoptech or Brembo big brake kits.
Dont forget the stainless lines.
Here is a thread or two to help you with your research:

Myself and I believe member illest are in the process of doing the C32 mod.

I wanted to upgrade the brakes, but didn't wanna go crazy so I opted out for bolt-on upgrades.
1-RacingBrake Rotors.
2- Meyle Semi-metallic pads
3- Stoptech Stainless brake lines.
4- regularly flush brake fluid with genuine Mercedes.
Here's my thread:

Good luck

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (W210)
If you check into my project thread over the next week or so, you'll see 8 piston AMG front callipers and 4 piston rears going onto my W210.
It's not a simple process. Custom hubs, hats, and brackets have been machined and fabricated for my setup, plus some slight modifications on the car are required too for the route I've taken.
I'm also having to reluctantly part with my 18" AMG II Monoblocks because the front callipers won't fit with them on. My OEM/Sleeper look exterior dream is officially over. Thankfully I've found OEM 19" AMG IV's to replace them, so at least I'm still 100% Mercedes/AMG.
Things to remember with AMG brake upgrades on our cars are that the bracket sizes, bolt sizes, and bolt holes vary between almost all the different AMG cars. So, make sure you do your research.
Forum member Zayed is solely responsible for the smoothness in my kit build process. He has handled everything, and I'm even having him install the kit when he is free, simply because of how vast his knowledge and experience is with this type of work.
If you want the job done and done right, I strongly suggest you allow him to assemble your kit and send it to you as a bolt-on package.
You get what you pay for they say, and Zayed is worth every penny.

If you want bolt-on, I can't recommend enough that you go through Zayed. I will confirm which callipers I have going on the front and post here again.

I remember to see a black E55 2001 with W211 set-up (8 pot/4pot) red painted. looks awesome.
In terms of performance, the OEM brakes are excelent eficient. I'm experimenting some bad brake stopping power, i check the pads and they are terrible worn, i replace pads and rotors, blead system and fluid flush replaced with RBF 660 racing, now the stopping power is awesome again. waiting for paint and some cosmetic changes in the calipers

My brake kit will be fitted this week and I'll be using the Motul 660 fluid you recommend. Appreciate the information!

Why are you not happy with the Stock Brakes?
They're very good unless you have a contract with the city you live in and use your car as a garbage truck and you are stopping hundreds of times per day with mass behind it all.
Even then, I'd change to purple fluid and then consider the calipers.
