S210/W210 E55 Estate Headlight, foglight, A/C vent part numbers?
I need help in getting the following issues sorted in my S210/W210 E55 Estate:
1) Left (driver's side) headlight has stopped working. It also seemed dimmer than the right headlight earlier, until it died.
2) The foglights flicker and go out completely, until I switch off my headlights and foglights and turn them on again.
3) I'd like to bring back the headlights and foglights to stock specification. When I bought the car, the foglights had (and still do) blue bulbs. What is the stock specification? What is Xenon and what isn't?
4) Does anyone have the part numbers to all these parts and have any recommendations on what needs to be replaced/repaired to resolve these issues? I'd like to order them online through eBay or Amazon or any other website that ships items Internationally.
5) Does anyone face the issue where the rear A/C vents are next to useless and hardly blow any cold air, at all? Or is that by design?

Are your headlights the Xenon ones, or regular? Different part #'s, very different housings. Also, what year is your car? Pre vs. post facelift makes a difference as well.

They're Xenon.
Ideally, I'd like to go back to the stock setup, but I don't know how that is exactly. What lights are halogen or Xenon, what bulbs to use, etc.
Alternatively, I could buy a pair from eBay or Amazon, as long as it doesn't look too fake or custom since I'd like to keep this car as stock as possible.
It seems the foglights are bluer than usual, and one of the headlights is slightly brighter than the other. Also, the middle lights (what do you call them?!) are currently white, although I think they are meant to be yellow, correct me if I'm wrong?
Here are some photos of the car when it was shipped from Japan and after it arrived (with the lights switched on).

The following list for the front lights, from Factory:
2x D2R HID bulbs. Philips 4300K OEM replacement. (Always change these in pairs to get the correct color temperature/brightness.)
2x H7 55W halogen high beam bulbs.
2x H3 55W halogen fog lights.
2x H6W parking lights -> get the 6W version, anything higher will melt the wire.
I can give you the part # if you want.

Thanks for the info guys. Yes, it's a '01, post-facelift, hence the round foglights. I'd appreciate the part number too!

Front City/Parking light bulbs : N000000008138
High beam bulbs: N400809000007
Fog light bulbs: N072601012290
As for the fog light issue, your problem MIGHT be in the harness. The connector is a well known weak point. Water gets in there with time and corrodes where the wiring meets the housing.
The updated part number Is A0005402105, check first if it's indeed the cause.
Regarding the rear vents, the flaps might not be operating correctly. Or the vent channel could be disconnected. I remember reading somewhere about a Flap-test.
Good luck!

Guys, I found these on eBay. Are these Xenons? Am I supposed to replace my current stock housing with these and then install the stock bulbs?
And some models don't fit cars with headlight washers. My car has these. Why does it make a difference? Did the E55 come with headlight washers as stock? Some models don't fit the HID version. Are HIDs standard for E55?

I got these:
Philips is the OEM for Mercedes. This bulb will give you the same color temperature as the factory.
No need to remove the housing, you remove the bulb cover, twist the HID cable and swap the bulbs (Disconnect the Negative first!!!!!)
If however you'd like to change the housing to projector style, you will lose Factory HID and auto leveling system. Also, the cutoff & output of these kits is s**t, not to mention blinding other people.
Some people modify these kits by replacing the projector lens to a one from W211 E55 or an Audi which is a good solution.

H1 or H3
Folks, silly question, but which website has more accurate compatibility information: Pelican Parts or Amazon?
The reason I ask is because my foglights are circular (AMG styling package, 722m since it's a W210/S210 E55 AMG wagon, 2001), but Amazon continues to recommend H1 foglight bulbs.
I'd like to stick to the stock colour of the foglamps, but while Pelican parts recommends the H3 55W bulb, Amazon says it won't work, and recommends the H1 bulb.
Screenshots attached for your reference.
