Driver's rear suspension creaking

Started noticing a week or two when I would exit the car. Now if I bounce the left rear corner, the creaking is loud. It still rides great. Any ideas?

Weird. I just jacked it up enough to get that tired off the ground. Looked around for anything obvious but all looked good. Put her back down, no creaking. Maybe a little dirt or sand in the spring cradle? All quiet again.

Had the same issue after a road trip from Ottawa to Boston. Problem started in boston (roads are the worst). Every time I raise the car the noise disappears, traced it to the driver's side rear spring where it grinds over the control arm base- I think it's related to dirt, salt and rust . WD-40 worked like a charm!

That's what I figured. I have had another car that did similar.

Sounds didn't go away. In fact, in the last day or so, it has gotten a little worse. So tonight, jacked up the hind quarter and took the wheel off. Crawled in the wheel well and down in the spring cradle was a small stone about the size of a pea. Knowcked it out and WD40 the area. All back together and all is quiet again.
