Made for drift?

Hello, family

I do not remember if I posted about me saving 99 E55 from junkyard investing in it more than 5K to bring it back a live, because I cant see this cars dying.

So I am almost done with it, only cosmetic paint job left.

This car drives amazing! Every time I am behind the wheel of it I am constantly looking to speed=))

This car is made for drift cornering=) but every time I do it once a month a get bad feeling that I am hurting this car.

And so my question is how strong is w210 AMG to do doughnuts without hurting it?

PS. I am looking at newer years AMG, BMW M commercials and all the do is drift and drift, I mean so this cars are made to do it with no problem to tranny, diff and driveline? I know regular cars will self destruct if youll do it, but what about this monsters?

Slow speeds may overheat things as you're running at high RPMs and the radiator and trans cooler don't get as much airflow as they would at speed; auto transmissions generally don't like that kind of heat thrown at them constantly for several minutes at a time. A limited slip rear diff would give you better control while hanging the rear of the car out, and make sure that your rubber bits in the suspension are good, or you might be getting a lot of side-to-side play in all of the control arms and subframe. You say you only dive it loose occasionally, so not especially a big deal, compared to drifting the car for a few minutes at a time or doing donuts until the tires are destroyed. Other than that, you are pretty well just shredding rubber. I used to work for an SCCA Pro team; our owner/driver destroyed several engines on the dyno because the load and airflow were too low for the flogging he was putting on a road-race car that wasn't meant to idle or drive at low speed under heavy load for long periods.

If you can afford to replace **** when it breaks go for it.

I don't know if it's just because I'm old, but doing burn outs and lighting up the tires just isn't fun anymore. I definitely have fun with my car, but needlessly beating on it isn't something I'm into any more.
