4-Matic an option?
Apparently the AMG version of the S-Class will not be available with 4-matic as an option despite the fact that the 400 and 500 versions will offer it. Any word on whether the new body style E Class will allow 4-Matic as an option on the E55 AMG?

According to my dealer, you cannot get the E500 or the E320 with the Sports Package AND 4-Matic, and since the E55 has the ultimate sports package, I would assume the same thing. I am not sure what the reasoning behind the contrast of the Sports Package and 4-Matic are, though.

The 4-Matic suspension is not designed with a "Sport" setting in mind. Honestly, I'm very curious as to how the AMG 4-Matic in Europe is setup. I have a feeling it uses different rebound/dampning on the shocks and may have special springs that are not the same compression as the std AMG non-4Matic. In the US, there has been little demand for 4Matic systems- more so, upgrading the suspension on a 4Matic system is a pain. Hmm, I still think we should have it
