Good deal on a '99?
They want $52k for it.

I am LOL. I just printed that out 15 minutes ago. I am debating calling on it --- the purple interior may make me gag, but it is 20k miles less, but is also is not starmarked....hmmm

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I emailed the seller of that and he says that it is a Mercedes Navigation system. I guess it is the pre-Command system -- probably junk. It looked like it was in front of the center vents, but the seller says it does not get in the way. I will watch the bidding and see what happens. Thanks.

They blinked. I could easily get it for $45k. But the more I think about it, the more I don't want it because I only wanted it for a year. If I put 12k miles on it, it would have 62k miles and be 4-5yrs old next spring when I want to unload it -- And YOU know they would bend me over and try to give me $30-$35 on the trade.
You follow ebay. I have been bidding on several E55s, but I have not seen a single one close out at the reserve. A couple of 2002s have not drawn bids above $56k. If ASC wants to unload it, they will have to deal. Or they will have to get rid of it at a wholesale auction for even less. Kelly's was written with last spring's economy in mind, not this year's.
According to their website, ASC has 2 brand new 2002 E55s on their lots soaking in the sun right now.
Nice bright red and charcoal C32 on the floor in ASC right now

For those Ebay E55 auctions that do not met the reserve price I would email the seller directly with an offer. Example: The car reaches $52k and the reserve is $60k - He may take an offer of $55k. It is more that the last bid and he does not have to pay any Ebay selling fees or pay to list it again. Good Luck.
You want a cheap 99 E55 so you can slap a Kleemann on it - don't you? Way to go!
