Am I the only one who thinks that CLS in the back looks wicked on what looks like black wheels?!
Only time will tell if the new engine will be mated with a fantastic chassis + suspension to equal a beautifully handling car.

Are you referring to the car parked behind the E63? I dont know what that is, maybe an A Class, but I can tell you that its definetly not a CLS.

Oi! Now on a better glance, you're right, it's not a CLS! The lights are different.
It's still hot though.

Hmmm, I wonder why AMG doesn't just fit the v12 twin turbo into the next E. It already has the engine worked out and in production in the S65.
Just wondering, coz if Brabus can fit in their 6.3 V12, why can't AMG?

I think coz its gonna be nose heavy and handle like a pig? Not sure tho... what do you think, i'd rather prefere TT v8 over v12
or it might be one of the fastest sedans in the world

I cannot believe that educated grown men believe everything they hear. It has been announced a while back & all the Euro mags have been saying it as well. There have been links provided with info, eg the ML63 engine.
The E63 will have a normally aspirated V8 with around 500hp & 470 lb/ft.
But hey, believe what you want.

I could write that off a it being an AMG test mule.

Many European E55's have the stock E500 wheels like the car in the picture. Download the E55 video from AMG's website and you will see that the car in the video has those wheels.

The V12 has a smaller displacement and is actually only 500cc bigger than the 5.5V8 in the current E55.
Dunno about the differences in weight, anyone can help?
I still think the 6.0V12 twinturbo would be awesome in an E, altho a bit of an overkill probably

You are correct. This TT V8 bit is a dream. The motor is through testing and it has no turbos sitting on the sides. It would be nice but its not going to happen.
The car in the pic is likely the new E63 NA or a E55 performance package test vehicle.
The fact that the wheels look like E500 sport wheels means nothing since in europe you can get any one of 3-4 wheels on your E55 from the factory. Those wheels look better IMHO and are far easier to clean too! And with the amount of brake dust made by this car thats a big factor

i.e. E55 = 5.5 (well actually 5.4), E63 = 6.3, SL65 = 6.5,.....S65 = 6.5??

Now I think the E63 will have the same engine as this:

Tsk tsk, very disappointing that they chose displacement over forced induction, yuk

Thanks for the info, I stand corrected.
Also, take a look at this - I don't know if anybody recalls this previous thread from a while back, but it features what appears to be an E55 that has been fitted with an SL65 style front bumper/air dam. Looks like the one in the picture, just after a little paint.
