met some good fellas there and had a great time. made 18 runs!!! hit a bird decelerating for 119.....poof!!!....there goes my middle lower mesh grill. easily took off 1/2 my tread but it was well worth it. on the run in the vid (camera vid doesnt zoom so only get 1/2 run) was my best of the day. .735 rt, 1.886, 60 and 11.81 1/4. evo stage 2, big ol honkin 19's with pole positions no lsd. CRUSHED!!! i mean CRUSHED my pal spero with his kleeman k2.

Easy killer, once I got the hang of launching I had to stop because my front tire was going flat. My last run was my best at 11.93 with my front tire going flat and my trap speeds were almost 2 mph higher all day. Remember I trapped at 121 mph. Spoke with Brandon from Kleemann and these times without LSD and RT time in the 1.8 range we should be able to get much lower next time out.

I had you in my cross hairs big daddy but your were saved by my leaking tire.

I thought your time was like 11.87. Did you subtract something to get it to 11.81? I remember you saying something about subtracting when looking at our time slips during the day.

The modded Cobra's (600HP) best time all day was 12.8

Damn, Pete...pretty lame video. At least you could have showed the entire 1/4 mile with the e.t.'s and mph. Nice runs though. I wish I could have been there to see what I could do with the Evo stage 2 car.

I really, really doubt that cobra had 600 HP. My car ran a 12.30 with 400rwhp on street tires.

keep dreamin my brotha!!! 11.81, scanner is on the fritz. and yes stephen, had my dvd camcorder but couldnt find any place along the way that sells my disc so had to make due with the dig camera's video. that cobra had the sound at least and drag radials but a live rear axle (which they still have ) his car axle hopped for the first 300 feet. is was all good fun though.

if he was hopping he was running the independent rear suspension that our cars come equipt with from the factory. If he had a live axle he probably wouldn't have hopped.

He said he had (ecu/headers/exhaust) work done and was @ 600 HP before we started. His car sounded great but he would spin his tires and the car would hop. This was his first time at the track so he seemed to be missing his shifts done the track.

We had a blast and can not wait until next time. Mike, when you get your cooling mod installed maybe we can go back this summer so I can make up that .12 sec's.

I think the Cobra had 600HP based on his trap speeds...he couldn't launch right and I noticed he didn't power shift either. I recall his first run being high 12's with about a 122 trap, but his 60' was pretty bad.

Hey guys, bad cobra driver from the day here, just wanted to say a few words...

First, thanks for letting me attend your event, it was a LOT of fun and a great experience, good crew of people

in my defense, I'm pretty darn certain my car didn't perform up to its potential due to driver error and inexperience... cobras really aren't as crappy as I made them look today... and who the heck said I was running 600hp??? maybe 550 at the crank, but certainly not more than 470 to the wheels

at any rate, my car wouldn't hook in first gear the entire time, so I had to shift out into second around 3-4000 rpms every time, and that wasn't until quite a lot of hopping as was said

as for the video, i missed second in that video, and I pulled up at 100mph through the gates and ran a 13.8... so yeah, that could look bad against an E55 running 11s, hahah

but, in the 12.6 I did manage to run, I still trapped close to 120, so I'm sure she has some ability in there somewhere, I just need to learn how to drive

No LSD yet. Agree it is all about the driver and I still need lots more practice. Both cars were running neck and neck most of the day (EVO & K2) with the K2 having a slightly higger trap speed every run. I assume that means that the K2 was putting more HP & Torque on the pavement for it to be moving our 4300 pound sedan faster in that distance. I may be wrong but it seems logical. (It would make sense since I have my primary cats removed and Mike has his still on).

Chris it was greating meeting you yesterday and your Cobra looked awesome. Jason had mentioned to me that your car was pushing 600HP (not rear wheel) so I am sorry if I was wrong. With your trap speeds, I can not imagine that car not getting into the 11's.

Sam your stock car was running strong and Chris from NY with his Renntech ECU/Pulley bested at 12.02. Jason with his C32 (Renntech ECU/Pulley) ran a 12.5 (Awesome Run).

Paul with his new 2005 E55 (800 miles) had never been at the track was getting into the 12.4 area.

Our CL55 was running 12.2's all day and it was the heavier of the cars.

It is great meeting local "nuts" and having fun with our family cars

BTW - Rick and Kim enjoyed our group and we have a open invite whenever we want.

Most of us had our suspension set to "C" mode with traction on and "S" mode for the transmission.

Thanks everyone for the great turn out and next time we will try and get a dedicated person to video complete runs.

dont sweat it dude, it was all in good fun. glad you could join us. it was my first time too.

and dje55 10 of us had the track for about 6 hours. it cost $104 a piece. gotta make it out next time.
