Evosport brake kit

Was wondering if anyone has done the Evo brake upgrade kit. I don't track my car, have never had the warning lights come on, yet I had to replace both front rotors and pads due to "excessive heat, brought on by high speed stops", according to my service dept. This was with just under 15,000 miles on the car. Before the brake job, I never had a squeaking issue. They now squeal like a pig. Brought it in last week and they "scruffed and cleaned" but they still squeal. I called them back and they told me to come back in and they will replace the brakes.

If the Evo replacement brake kit will wear better it will be a great upgrade.

What exactly is included in this kit? I believe Vic55 has it. Not sure what it is, but I remember reading that he had it.

(BenzoBoi beat me to it)... Vic55 had them done recently.. Check the picture thread at the top of the thread list.. he's on the last page. You can see pics of the setup there.

They look awesome and I am going to be getting a set also but I am going to wait a bit before ordering them.

They are basically just the rotors with aluminum hats.. They weigh 8lbs less than the stock rotor so you lose 32lbs in total from the car's unsprung weight.

Yes I am the one that got the Evosport Rotors. It will definitely allow for less heat transfer to the hat and pad due to the fact that rotors dissipate (spelling?) heat more efficiently than the stock rotors. Keep in mind that the stock rotors have one part number so the left and right rotors are the same which means one side has the venting going backwards. This makes cooling even more ineffective. Also you will save about over 34lbs in unsprung weight. Personally there is much less brake fade and the car seems to stop easier. Here are some pics......
