The lines at Costo are now 30 cars deep in Leesburg, VA on the weekends. 93 goes for $2.65 and its $2.99 across the street. I paid $50 for the first time ever for a full tank in the E55, this is ridiculous. I am selling my S80 T6 and getting a Honda Civic Hybrid next month.

Chill out man.... I just found out that my regular gas station has a limit of $60 when filling up premium (not sure w/ other grades) It just stopped even though my tank didn't seem to be full yet.

The cheapest in the MD suburbs is probably in Germantown. There is a Chevron there thats usually alot cheaper than everywhere else but expect long lines. There is also a Citgo or something like that on Germantown Road close to Euromotorcars that is cheap too. Gas is over $3/gallon by my house in Gaithersburg

$3.07 here in Irvine... reached the magic $60.00 for a fill-up for the first time... That said, after living in europe for a few years gas prices don't really bother me here. When it gets to $4 0r $5 I think I'll start getting upset. Right now I'm basically spending about $30 more a month on gas. It won't kill me.
Speaking of getting upset, I don't think it's the actual money that bothers people. I think it's the fact that the price of gas is a very visual thing - that is it's posted on almost every street corner with large signs (allowing people to track it even when they don't care to). If they did that with the price of milk, or coffee, or electricty... people would be complaining about those items during spikes as well...

I filled out a loan application this morning at my local Amoco and was qualified to fill up my W210. I think I'll apply for another gas loan from The Lending Tree so I can have a bunch of banks competing to see who could loan me some money for gas next week.

Here's a quote from a local paper stating about the gas. "But the driving force behind these increased prices is not an oil shortage, nor any changes in retail consumption. The Automobile Club of Southern California's spokeswoman Carol Thorp said the commodities market, where crude oil is purchased by the barrel, is setting the price. And what fuels oil purchases could be nothing more than a hunch that the price will go up."
I paid $2.98 here @ Mobile and $2.78 @ Sam's club gas last friday. I guess it may go up some more for labor day weekend.
