Ok, who took their E55 drifting.....
I am on the opposite side of the road as of now, but I still love the Es. I just think it is absolutely pathetic how the M5 guys degrade the 55ers so much, just kinda shows some of the guys respect level for different drivers and cars.
That is what all the magazines talk about when they say the E55 has tremendous oversteer right??
If that was an M5 and you took her into the corner too fast, what would happen?? Would it do the same thing? Just at a much higher speed correct? Just curious.....

the posting is a bit of a low blow.
f the owner did not know how to use the torque on the 55k correctly, and it was their first time on a track, it will happen and continue to happen.
It is just funny how the M5 boys like to always blame in the car. The E55k is not ment for the track guys, yes we do know! Thanks to M5board.com never failing to remind us AMG owners.
At least the 55k does not a quart of oil every 1200 miles, avg 8mpg city driving and have a bunch of transmission failures, not to mention brake line recalls and a handi cap Launch Control. According to alot of their owners, the SMGII is not what they thought it would be.
LOVE the M5, but is far from perfect.
What a bunch of pussies over there that they censor the word pig...
we could just post a pic of those two totalled M5's and say, "typical" M5 owner..... then what...

As far as the M5 crowd is concerned, I instructed for the BMCCA & PCA for 6 years and seen some of the worst drivers on the track. Especially the guys that show up with $15-$20k of modifications to their car (insert Ferris Bueller playing the saxophone) "and not one lesson". They really get pissed off when they are getting lapped by stockers with guys that can drive and then say "just wait until I get my next mod". All the mods and best of everything (including the car) can't make you a better driver.

The E55 is only about 6 seconds behind on a given track. That driver that made those mistakes alone is about 11sec. That was a maniac that just couldn't drive! He must have just watched "Days of Thunder" and decided to get on the track with his E55. Yes the M5 is fast and does well on the track BUT, the e55 is not exactly slow on a track, it beats most when properly driven. There are a lot of car video's of idiots doing dumb things, can't blame the car guys. You just have to know your limits as well as the cars. E55 can't dive into a corner at 55mph...

M5 owners are... I'm not even going to say it, but I can't wait until I catch an M5 at a light.

WTF? This from a guy who was so obsessed about M5 1/4 times that he faked timeslips and got nailed.
Jordan - Do you think we all forgot so soon?

So - you didn't post fake slips in a desperate attempt to convince people that the M5 can run low 12's at the strip? Did that whole episode not happen?
Or are you saying that because Fikse saw a slightly modded M5 run 12.4's and 12.5 at the strip, we should all forget how you took us all for fools and accused another member of being the lying *******?
Please.
So your saying the M5's don't run low to mid 12's....please...don't say No, I don't want the people that go to the track to think you don't know what your saying. Dragtimes, might be posting bad information on Stock M5's Times. Ensom doesn't belive FISKE and his information.
Removing a charcoal air filter is not a mod.

NOW...lets get back to the subject of the video and how bad the driver was.

No. Let's stick to the topic of what you did. It is more interesting than one sole time slip of one M5 running a 12.4.
So what was the story again, Jordan? Was the neighbor brought to justice?
Don't make this thread about Fiske being wrong and his data being BS, thats not cool. You can start a thread about the M5 not running 12's if you want, I doubt people will read too much as Fiske has proof.
What did I say in this thread that was not true? Did I bash the E55 or the M5? I just fixed what bad info was being said about the M5 and was BACKING up the E55 in that it was not as bad as what the video showed..Please go back in this thread and READ.
