What are our specs for the E55 internals? 35 nos shot?
I have my car over at a local shop that is planning on porting my TB, I have the earliest possible '03 model.
They want to know more about the internals...rods, pistons, crank.
What exact type of alloy(s) are used.
They are trying to determine if a 35 shot would be at all doable given that the car has the following mods in my signature below. Other ideas would be to go with a cryo kit to drop intake charge -- effectively the same as a small shot of NOS using a ZEX kit.
this is all I can find from the MB USA site:
<<90 degree V-8, high-pressure die-cast alloy cylinder block, alloy heads.
Thanks

On the dry nitrous systems I've seen on these cars, people seem to be running a pair of .29 to .31 jets. IIRC, that works out to about 75hp. I haven't *heard* of anyone having problems, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. If you decide to do a wet system, it really should be plumbed AFTER the supercharger. I know people have done pre-supercharger, but having the fuel mixed in with the hot air and nitrous IN the blower is a backfire waiting to happen. Not to knock wet systems at all (I actually prefer wet) but it's just something to think about. If I spray my E55 it'll be a dry setup.
