Any opinions on cat back systems?

I am looking for the "best" cat back system for my E55. I would like to know what experiences you have had (good or bad) with these systems. I want the highest finish quality, nice race inspired sound(not flowmasteresque), and any performance gain would be nice but not required(as I know the stock system flows pretty well.) Thanks for your input.

Mods so far are Renntech Pully and flash.

I have the Eisenmann Racing Exhaust cat-back system and couldn't be happier with it. Fantastic finish and a nice aggressive sound. Hopefully I'll be getting some video clips soon.

Thanks for the reply. I guess there are just not that many people with catbacks for the E55. I am surprised.

Eisenmann

Definitely, Eisenmann makes the best quality aftermarket system out there. I had one on my 01 CLK55 and loved it. I am planning on installing an Eisenmann on my 05 E55, but, as you indicated, the stock system already flows quite well. I am considering deleting the center resonator and replacing it with stainless straight pipes first to see if that provides the sound I am looking for at about 1/10th the cost of an Eisenmann system.

the eisenmann isnt really a cat back system either, it just replaces the stock mufflers. I dont think there are any off the shelf cat back systems

You can cut out the resonators and replace / remove the secondary cats with racing cats for a true catback. If you go with the Eis racing, keep in mind you may lose power if you also cut cats.

And the Eis mufflers are also loud as HELL. Don't like them. Makes the car sound like a Mustang GT with exh IMOP.

Anyone using Supersprint?

Looks like they have a pretty nice system for the E55.

I'm loooking to get Eisenmann race exhaust install on my E55 as well, but still not too sure if I should start with the exhaust first or the wheels.

How about Remus. I put the Remus cat-back on my RS6. No performance gains but it sounded nice and good quality. Does Remus make something for the E55?
