*** Custom Paddle Shifters ***
I originally ordered the AMG Aluminum Paddles that come on the new cars but because of the wiring differences, they dont work on all models and years.
Because of this, I went looking for an alternate solution.. I am having custom CNC cut Paddles made which are super high quality. They are made to fit in the STOCK mounting location WITHOUT any cutting, hacking ,slicing, or wiring changes. The paddles were designed to be a "button" replacement and have no electronics.
The first production ready prototypes were installed and tested on a car for quite a few weeks to make sure durability, quality, and overall look & feel were perfect!
We are making them in 2 finishes.. One finish will be Piano Black, and one will be a standard aluminum look like the factory piece. They weigh more than the stock plastic versions but a little less than the heavier aluminum paddles.
Alot of attention was paid to the click and feel to make them as perfect as possible.
These will work in the following cars: C(203) CLK(209) E(W211) CLS(219) SL(230) CL SLK 55/65 AMG for sure. Possibly newer 350 550 models with buttons.
Let me know what you guys think... I really value your input..
Here are a couple of pics of the piano black versions:

Thanks for the quick replies guys!
We are still discussing etching out the "-" & "+" onto the paddles, and possibly also etching the AMG logo onto each paddle.. Not sure what the final production piece will have but these are some ideas that are rolling around in my head.
As for delivery timelines, once I give the go ahead we can have 200 made and delivered within 3 - 4 weeks. I just need to finalize whether or not we will do the etching and we are also working on the packaging part.. I am looking at making a custom case for them (similar to sunglass cases -- flip open)...
Was also looking for your feedback on what, if anything, should be done to improve or change them before doing the final production run.
Oh yeah.. sorry.. pricing.. I dont want to throw out quotes because it all depends on how many I have made and how many people are interested.. I'll have to wait a bit before I can say some firm numbers..
Right now the rough price I have is $240.

Thanks everyone!! Glad you guys like it.
Yeah.. I think the etching will add a little more detail to them so I will make a call in the morning and see what we can do about getting another set made with the etching on them..
-------------------------
I wish I had more manufacturing connections and could get stuff mass produced to get the price point even lower, but, unfortunately, whenever you run custom stuff like this it gets expensive.. Molds, engineering time, CNC programming and everything else makes the price jump pretty quick.
Of course, I could cheap out in certain areas to get the price lower, but I just wont compromise quality for cost. Thanks for the input.
Yup.. They'll fit.. Sorry.. I missed the 220.
Installation is very simple.. 20min or so.. You just need a couple of Torx screw drivers. The steering wheel can stay on the car during transplant.
I'll include installation instructions as part of the package.
