my new e63 wagon w/ pics
 

Hey guys. I'm a first time Mercedes owner and just bought an E63 wagon. I was looking for something with decent cargo space but still wanted something fun to drive so when I saw this car sitting on the showroom floor I realized it was the one. Apparently they're pretty rare with something less than 30 existing in the country currently. Mine is Iridium Silver with Black Leather and Burl Walnut trim, and has the P2 Package with Keyless Go, Navigation, etc. So many people are shocked to see it on the road and point at the 6.3 AMG badge as I drive by and give a thumbs up when they realize it's actually an AMG wagon. Sorry about the poor image quality of these pictures, but I'll post some new ones this weekend when I have time to take some shots with my digital slr.

congrats on the wagon - you will LOVE it - it is so "practical". HA HA.

Although - I have found that no one will take the bait becase they think it's a soccerMom ride. Good and bad - but it's worth a good 10 MPH with the cops - they don't pay any attention to it either.

I think my wagon is my favorite car that I have owned so far. I would not own an SUV, and I already have a truck - this car rocks.

This car is sick!! We had black one with silver designo seats
sitting in the showroom of our local dealer and it was just a
blast to look at. I can only imagine going down the autobahn
with the puppy in the back!!!

Congrats on your new acquisition. I just purchased a Pewter/Light grey wagon that has everything but voice control. I love the linear power and the 7 speed trans. 17 mpg around town and over 21 mpg with that much power is incredible. The only things that I miss are the Dynamic seats and power headrests on the 2nd seat that I guess are not available on the wagons. Overall just a great car and like you stated the police don't even give you a look.

Hey guys. Thanks for all of the comments. This is an awesome forum. I really love driving the E63 even though I'm still stuck in the break-in period. Only around 600 miles to go! I can just imagine what the engine will be like after I'm able to bring it up to redline. Comparing it to my A8L W12, the W12 is slightly more luxurious and limo-like with reclining rear seats and is decently quick with a 450 hp W12 giving it a 5.0 sec 0-60, but I love the AMG sport seats in the E63 and it is such an awesome performer that it's the one I drive when I want to go have some fun.:y

In terms of some of the questions:

Fleebee - The folding mirrors were already on the car when I bought it so I'm assuming that they're now standard equipment. They're pretty nice to have because my parking situation is pretty tight as you can see from the photos. In terms of the center brake light, the LEDs look awesome especially at night so that would be a sweet upgrade.:y

jason427 - The rear facing third row seat is an option but mine doesn't have it. Instead I have extra storage under the cargo area floor which is nice.

kaze81 - No plans to mod it yet, but if I do I'll probably just put some bigger wheels on. Any suggestions on types of wheels that would look good?

blkamgsl55 - Congrats on your E63 wagon, too! Pewter/Light grey sounds like an awesome color combo. Do you have any pictures you could post of it?

Hey deaded. Can you believe how tight that space is?! The builder must've been on drugs when he designed the garage.:crazy: Luckily it's a pillar that separates the two spaces and not a wall so I am able to open the driver's door if I back the W12 in, but if I pulled in forward then I would have to resort to climbing out of the sunroof! lol. I guess it at least protects the W12 pretty well from door dings!

The 2 piece AMG charcoal center 65 wheels are always a plus in my book as far as wheels are concerned... :D
